HotDoc payments is the new way to pay at Morayfield Family Doctors.
Patients will now be required to provide a payment method to their HotDoc account when booking an appointment. However, you will not be charged until your appointment is complete.
The process for booking an appointment online or through a receptionist with HotDoc Payments is slightly different.

Patients that see a bulk billing GP won’t need to enter their bank details into HotDoc.
If your GP follows a mixed billing policy, you will still need to enter your details in HotDoc however, you will not be charged if you’re eligible to be bulk billed.
Medicare rebates will stay exactly the same. Patients will receive their rebates back into their nominated bank account within 48 hours of their appointment.
No, you don’t need to download the HotDoc app. You can log into HotDoc online instead. Please visit this link to log into your account www.hotdoc.com.au/medical-centres/login.
If the payment method is declined, HotDoc will send you an SMS informing you to add a new payment method.
HotDoc will try the charge again 24 hours after the first charge. If they are unable to take the funds at that point, Morayfield Family Doctors will receive an email informing them of the unpaid appointment so they can phone you directly.
If you don’t attend your appointment, you will be charged a DNA fee of $60 via HotDoc payments.
HotDoc accepts VISA, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, China UnionPay and Japan Credit Bureau.
No, you can select “store card details for future appointments”.
No, you can use debit cards, visa pay as you go cards etc. Does not have to be a credit card.
No payment is taken prior to your appointment. However there is a HotDoc hold fee of $1.45 which validates your card that is on file. This is taken off hold after your consult has been finished.
